Jackson scores 40, Windy City Bulls score double-digit victory over Birmingham
The Windy City Bulls, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, beat the Birmingham Squadron 117-104 Tuesday night. Windy City was led by guard Quenton Jackson with 40 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists.
Guard Evan Gilyard chipped in 16 points off the bench on 6-for-14 shooting from the field. Guards Chris Clemons and Scottie Lindsey finished with 13 points each.
Windy City took a 1-point lead after Lindsey scored 10 points in the first quarter. Both teams scored 22 points in the second quarter, giving the Bulls a 56-55 lead heading into halftime. Windy City scored 28 points in the paint after shooting 51.2 percent from the field in the first half.
The Bulls outscored the Squadron 33-28 in the third quarter to take a 6-point lead heading into the final 12 minutes. Jackson scored 10 of his 40 points in the fourth quarter to help Windy City to a 13-point win.
Birmingham was led by guard Jalen Crutcher with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Devin Cannady chipped in 19 points on 8-for-14 shooting from the field.
With the win Windy City improved to 4-9 in the regular season, while Birmingham fell to 7-7.
