Elgin hosting open houses on sports complex expansion

Elgin is hosting a pair of open houses on Wednesday, Jan. 31, to provide an update on the expansion plan for the Elgin Sports Complex.

The events will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Heritage Ballroom of the Edward Schock Centre of Elgin , 100 Symphony Way.

The Elgin's Sports Complex expansion is identified in the city's Parks Master Plan. Proposed updates to the sports complex were developed based on community feedback and designed with sustainability and accessibility in mind.
