Neighbors in the News: Stephanie Stallman named principal at Poe Elementary School

• Community Consolidated School District 21 has named Stephanie Stallman the new principal of Edgar A. Poe Elementary School, Arlington Heights, effective July 1.

Stallman, who will succeed the retiring Christy Campbell, has spent the past three years as Poe’s assistant principal. Prior to that, she was a special education teacher in Township High School District 214 and a social studies and special education teacher in Prairie Hill School District 133.

“I am so excited for the whole Panther community, students, families and staff. Stephanie is an exceptional leader and more than that a wonderful person,” said Campbell, who will be retiring in the spring. “Poe has a special place in my heart, and I feel so grateful to have Stephanie taking the lead. It’s going to be hard to leave, but knowing Poe is in excellent hands makes me so happy.”
