Minority decision
A reflection on the Iowa Republican caucus.
Per the most recent Census population estimates:
- Iowa has 3,207,004 residents;
• 2,482,221 Iowa residents are age 18 and over;
• 110,298 Iowans participated in the Republican caucus: 4.4% of Iowans 18 and over;
- 56,260 voted for Trump: 51% of all votes, but merely 2.3% of all Iowans 18 and over.
I pray that the rest of the country has more sense than 2.3% of eligible Iowa voters.
