SoxFest returning in 2025

After a four-year absence, SoxFest is coming back.

The White Sox on Friday announced the winter fan gathering is going to be held Jan. 24-25 next year at an undetermined location.

Plans are already in the works to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of the 2005 World Series champion White Sox. The franchise's 125-year anniversary is also on the 2025 calendar.

The last SoxFest was held in January 2020 at McCormick Place. COVID-19 wiped out the event the next two years and the White Sox declined to hold SoxFest in 2023-24.

According to the White Sox, additional details including location, official on-sale dates, programming and scheduled appearances will be announced at a later date.

The last SoxFest was held at McCormick Place for the first time. Before that the fan gathering was at Hilton Chicago and the Palmer House.
