‘Door dashing deputy’ arrests driver, delivers food

Food delivery driver get arrested? Don’t worry, the Kane County Sheriff’s Office has got your back.

One Kane County sheriff’s deputy made sure a food delivery driver’s arrest didn’t ruin another family’s dinner plans and delivered the food in person himself.

“My deputies always follow through,” Kane County Sheriff Ron Hain wrote in a social media post with a video of the “Door Dashing Deputy.”

“After having to arrest a food delivery driver, he completed the order to ensure no one went hungry.”

In the Ring camera video, an unnamed sheriff’s deputy is seen walking up to a home and handing a food order over to another person.

“You guys are amazing, thank you,” the woman says after the officer informs her the driver was arrested.

No word yet on if the food made it to the customer hot, what the driver was arrested for, or if the deputy got a tip.
