Overdose, suicide online dashboards available in Lake County
Data dashboards to track trends of overdoses and suicides throughout Lake County now are available online.
In development for six months, both dashboards incorporate data from 2020 to the present and will be updated weekly as information becomes available, according to Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek.
Data can be queried by year and city/town and includes a visual mapping feature. Parameters have been set to allow users to zoom into specific addresses.
The information will help better illustrate where to focus efforts regarding preventable deaths, Banek said.
The dashboards are available on the coroner’s website or Facebook page. A homicide data dashboard is pending.
