Des Plaines man facing sex-crime charges

A Des Plaines man is facing sex-crimes charges following his arrest in that suburb, police said Wednesday.
Jonathan Hernandez, 30, of the 2900 block of Curtis Street, is charged with one felony count of criminal sexual assault and two felony counts of unauthorized video recording and live video transmission.
Hernandez attacked a 23-year-old woman in August 2023, police said.
He was arrested Monday afternoon.
A police spokesman declined to release any other information, citing the sensitive nature of the case.
“There is no threat to the public,” police Cmdr. Matt Bowler said.
