Elgin to hold open house on expansion plan for sports complex

Elgin will hold two open houses on Wednesday, Jan. 31, to update residents on the expansion plan for the Elgin Sports Complex.

The events will held at the Centre of Elgin in the Heritage Ballroom, 100 Symphony Way, from noon to 1:30 p.m. and 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Proposed updates to the sports complex were developed based on community feedback and designed with sustainability and accessibility in mind. Current recreational amenities include softball, baseball and soccer fields, volleyball courts and the Hill BMX track.
