Voices Unlimited Chorus seeks new singers

Thanks to all the Voices Unlimited singers from Elgin and surrounding communities, the inaugural holiday concert, “Let the Season Begin,” was a huge success!

Now, the chorus will begin rehearsals on Tuesday, Feb. 27 for the spring concert, “The Sounds of Joy!”

Rehearsals will again be at the Regency Club House at Bowes Creek in Elgin and will run from 7 until 8:30 p.m.

The chorus is open to adding new voices. So, if you sang in high school, college, a church choir or perhaps another concert chorus, you just may be exactly who we are looking for.

No need to read music and you don’t have to have a solo voice. What you want to do is have a good time singing and the desire to make new friends.

And to make it easier to learn, they will be emailing piano soprano, alto, tenor and bass parts for each song, all in advance of the first rehearsal. You’ll be able to play them on your computer and spend as much time as you want learning your part.

Elgin area residents interested in singing who want to learn more about Voices Unlimited can email founder and director David Barth at davidabarth@comcast.net or call (630) 707-1221.

Looking forward to hearing from you or just seeing you on Feb. 27.
