Green Zone

In this 2010 drama starring Matt Damon, Amy Ryan plays a foreign correspondent questioning U.S. claims that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction. Her supporting role is loosely based on New York Times reporter Judith Miller. The title refers to the center section of occupied Baghdad. The movie is based on journalist Rajiv Chandrasekaran's nonfiction book from 2006, "Imperial Life in the Emerald City" and directed by Paul Greengrass, who had become disillusioned about the Bush administration's justifications for invading Iraq. Among other cast members are Greg Kinnear, Brendan Gleeson and Khalid Abdalla.
