Info session on Round Lake library referendum request

Round Lake Area Public Library District residents are invited to an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the library, 906 Hart Road, Round Lake for information on a proposed new building. The library district is seeking voter permission on the March 19 primary ballot to borrow about $36.4 million to build a new library. If approved, the owner of a house valued at $200,000 would pay an additional $298 in property taxes to the district. On Sunday, residents can meet and ask questions of the architect, financial planner and library board members. Sessions also are scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 7 and 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 18.
