Bartlett’s 2023 National Night Out celebration earns recognition

The village of Bartlett was awarded second place for its 2023 National Night Out celebration in its population category of 15,000-50,0000 residents.

National Night Out is acrime prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch that is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.

Bartlett police have participated in 30 years of National Night Out celebrations and has consistently been recognized by the National Association of Town Watch as one of the best in the nation, officials said.

Thousands of Bartlett residents participated in this year’s National Night Out celebration by attending the National Night Out Picnic in the Park on Aug. 1, 2023 and the different lead-in events.

This year’s National Night Out is set for Tuesday, Aug. 6.
