St. Charles Business Alliance selects 6 businesses for 2023 Made in St. Charles program

The St. Charles Business Alliance has selected six businesses for its 2023 Made in St. Charles program.

They are: Lighting Innovations; United Laboratories, Inc.; Clarke; Bison; I.C.T. Power USA; and Warwick Publishing Co.

The Made in St. Charles program began last year as a way to spotlight St. Charles businesses that make their products in town and celebrate their innovative and creative merchandise. For the 2023 program, the alliance’s Business Development & Sales Committee focused on industrial and manufacturing businesses.

“All six of these businesses are truly well-deserving, creating high-quality products that significantly impact their given industry,” said Jenna Sawicki, executive director of the St. Charles Business Alliance. “Our hope is that this program will not only shine a light on the remarkable industrial businesses we have in town, but also educate the community on some of the products that are being created right here in St. Charles.”

The six businesses received their awards at the Jan. 16 St. Charles City Council meeting.

“On behalf of the entire Warwick family, we are honored to be a part of this year’s Made in St. Charles program,” said Alexander Paschal, president and fifth-generation owner of Warwick Publishing Company.

“From our early days as the Chronicle Newspaper to our current version of Warwick as a promotional product supplier, our family and all of our employees have been blessed to call St. Charles our home for over 100 years,” he said. “St. Charles has grown in so many ways, especially in the last 30 years, and we’re excited to see what the future holds as time marches on. Thank you all very much for selecting us to be part of this year’s program!”

Bison Director of Sales/Marketing Andy Kuester said the business, located off Ohio Avenue on the far east side of town, has been designing and manufacturing electric motors, gear motors and gear reducers in St. Charles since 1997.

“From the beginning Bison has worked hard at giving back to the community, whether it be volunteer group outings at local charity organizations or sponsoring bands at STC Live in the summer,” Kuester said. “With a continued focus on growth and strong industry demand, Bison will remain a partner with St. Charles both now and in the future as we expand and develop our team.”
