Playhouse 38 invites community to 10th anniversary celebration

Geneva community theater is seeking past performers & curating memories in advance of event

Playhouse 38, the cultural arts facility of the Geneva Park District, will commemorate its 10th anniversary with a community celebration on Saturday, Feb. 3.

This free event will be held at 1 p.m. at Playhouse 38, 321 Stevens St., Suite P, Geneva. All ages are welcome.

“We are excited to offer this opportunity to reunite past performers, reprise past performances, and share memories from the last decade,” said Cultural Arts & Recreation Coordinator Tanya Osika, adding that there are a variety of ways to participate. “Individuals can contact us if they wish to perform a past song, monologue, or skit from a previous Playhouse 38 production. We also are inviting community members to share their written memories with us so we can incorporate them into the event.”

Individuals planning to attend are asked to complete the following online form to RSVP as a guest, to provide a written memory, and/or to sign up as a performer at genevaparks.org/10.

Those interested in performing need to complete the form by 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26; they will be contacted by Tanya Osika at tosika@genevaparks.com.

The event will include some light refreshments, and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
