Des Plaines council to talk subsidies for community groups, programs

The Des Plaines City Council meets Tuesday to discuss rules for buses delivering migrants from Texas, continued funding for the Frisbie Senior Center and the Des Plaines History Center, and other issues.

Among the proposed subsidies is $47,200 for a Meals on Wheels program. The history center could get $75,000, documents indicate.

The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at city hall, 1420 Miner St. Council meetings normally are held on the first and third Monday of each month, but this one was rescheduled because Monday was Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
