New member gathering starts Feb. 4 at Shepherd of the Prairie Church

Learn more about the life and ministry of Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church in Huntley. A new member gathering will be held on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at the church, 10805 Main St.

Prospective members, guests and visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the life and ministry of Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church.

The church is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America community of faith that shares a passion for making positive changes in the world.

“We warmly welcome you to attend our new member gathering,” said Donna Kelly, director of connections ministry, “and prayerfully consider whether or not you want to formally join us and become a member of the SOTP family.”

The church provides dynamic worship led by Senior Pastor Mark Boster and Pastor Ryan Mackey. It is filled with meaningful small groups and a strong commitment of service to others.

Worship services include:

• 5 p.m. Saturday Communion service using familiar hymns (in person only);

• 9 a.m. Sunday traditional service with Communion using familiar hymns; including livestream;

• 10:45 a.m. Sunday contemporary service using contemporary music, language and multi-media; including livestream.
