Elgin NAMI affiliate offers free Family Support Groups

Mental illness is a tough road to travel alone.

A NAMI Family Support Group is confidential, non-judgmental and facilitated by people who have been there and have learned the value of support.

These groups provide support for those who have a loved one with mental illness.

The meetings provide a place to vent, learn, share, and discover you are not alone in your challenging journey. Join the NAMI Family Support meeting, held the second Tuesday and fourth Thursday each month, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

On the second Tuesday, it is held at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church, 12N462 Tina Trail on Elgin’s east side. On the fourth Thursday, it is on the west side at New Life Community Church, 1580 E. Chicago St.
