Spread the joy of birds with kids
Volunteers are being sought to bring the joy of learning about birds to children this spring.
Volo Bog State Natural Area in Ingleside partners with Openlands, a regional conservation organization, to bring the program to students in Lake and McHenry counties.
No experience or bird knowledge required – just a love of birds and a desire to share with youngsters. Organizers want to expand the program to more schools but need more volunteers to do so.
