Antioch woman died Saturday after causing vehicle crash in Deerfield

On Saturday, Jan. 6, Elizabeth Tannehill, 66, of Antioch suffered a fatal cardiac arrest after causing a minor crash in Deerfield at Lake-Cook and Wilmot roads, officials said.

Lake County’s Chief Deputy Coroner Steve Newton said Tannehill claimed she did not feel well before driving. Once paramedics arrived after the crash, she had no injuries but was in cardiac arrest and transported to NorthShore Highland Park Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 12:38 p.m.
