The impossible outlook for migrants

The situation of migrants is confusing, dire and as any sizeable township manager will attest, very disturbing. In Texas, the governor cannot put them on buses fast enough. In cities elsewhere, they fret when these migrants arrive, let alone when and where to feed, shelter, and document them.

Nobody wants them, yet they are lied to and told: “the yellow brick road awaits”. I can relate to their real-life story because years ago I left a promising position when a fellow employee conned me into trusting him and leaving for a less-than-desirable position, with no sight of the proveable “yellow brick road.”

My heart goes out to those less-than-fortunate folks who are rejected by society and left to fend for themselves. Life can be difficult when stories of the promised land evade you. Nobody tells the migrants that after the long bus ride, the future is bleak at best.

The truth is there is nothing available to them, let alone any chance of finding true happiness without a miracle of fate, and that seems quite unclear if not impossible.
