Hanover Township Tutoring program to kick off for Spring Semester

The Hanover Township Tutoring Program kicks off on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the Town Hall, 250 S. Route 59, in Bartlett. Certified teachers will provide small group tutoring assistance for all subject matters for students in grades two-eight. Students in grades nine to 12 can register for math tutoring.

“Since April, nearly 250 students across the township have participated in our tutoring program,” said Brian McGuire, Hanover Township supervisor. “Many of the township tutors have been with us for several years, building ongoing relationships and a familiarity with the kids and their families.”

The program will run for 10 weeks and will meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with a fee of $45 per student.

Tutoring groups are developed based on age, subject matter, and learning needs that are identified by referring teachers and parents. Children who attend regularly and bring their school materials/assignments to each session improve in academic performance and become more self- confident.

For questions about the tutoring program, or to register, please call (630) 483-5799 or visit hanover-township.org.
