Weather cancellations in Naperville

An anticipated snowstorm is delaying Christmas tree pick-up and prompting a temporary closure of the household hazardous waste facility in Naperville.

City officials Thursday announced the live tree pickup has been postponed from Jan. 12 to Jan. 19 due to the anticipated snowstorm. Live tree pickup will be available on Jan. 19 and 26. Residents should place their trees on the curb, on top of any accumulated snow so they are visible, on Jan. 19 or 26. Trees should be free of any tinsel, lights or decorations.

The Naperville Household Hazardous Waste facility will be closed from Saturday and Sunday and the recycling drop-off center will be closed Saturday due to inclement weather.

Garbage and recycling pick-up was canceled Friday and expected to resume Saturday.
