Police: Husband killed wife, self in Downers Grove home
A husband shot his wife to death Tuesday night in their Downers Grove home, then killed himself, Downers Grove police said Wednesday.
Police identified the couple as Dongwei Su, 42, and Yakun Sui, 42, of the 6300 block of Fairview Avenue.
Police said the two argued and physically fought, then Su retrieved a handgun and shot his wife.
Several witnesses told police they saw a man with a gun inside a home and heard a gunshot, authorities said.
DuPage County land records indicate Su and Sui bought the townhome in November 2023. They formerly lived in Chicago, according to one of the records.
