Naperville man dies in crash

Naperville police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed a 57-year-old Naperville man.

Police responded around 6:15 a.m. Sunday to the crash near the intersection of Naper Boulevard and Bayhill Avenue. Initial reports indicate a silver 2004 Nissan, driven by a 62-year-old male from Naperville, was northbound on Naper when it left the roadway and struck a tree near Bayhill.

The driver and the car’s passenger, a 57-year-old male from Naperville, were transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The passenger later died from his injuries.

Members from the department’s traffic unit are investigating the crash. Police are not releasing the names of the driver or passenger at this time.
