Open Door in Elgin to offer transgender support group

Open Door Health Center in Elgin will offer a monthly support group for transgender individuals beginning 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9.
The free, peer-led group is limited to trans and nonbinary individuals aged 18 and older. Group members do not need to be clients of Open Door. The purpose of the group is to provide social support and resources to members of the transgender community.
Following the initial meeting, the group will meet on the second Tuesday of each month from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
