Misuse of ‘sanctuary’

The designation of sanctuary states and cities, according to the 2017 "Trust Act," applies to undocumented migrants already residing here, and that law enforcement would not cooperate with federal Immigration authorities to prosecute or deport them. It does not require the city or state to accept "shipments" of migrants and provide shelter or other support for them. Finally, the "sanctuary status" should be repealed here, and if not, it should be made illegal for any state to move undocumented immigrants to Illinois.
