L. Woods Tap & Pine Lodge celebrating 25 years in Lincolnwood

In a tough restaurant environment that has so many spots coming and going, it’s not often that an eatery gets to celebrate a quarter of a century in business.

January 2024 will mark 25 years for L. Woods Tap & Pine Lodge in Lincolnwood. The Northwoods-inspired supper club will honor the milestone with a week-long celebration from Jan. 11 to 17.

Menu specials will include $10 old fashioneds, $15 barbecue chicken and $25 baby back ribs.

Dine-in customers will also have a chance to to win a $250 gift certificate to the restaurant by filling out a "Mad Libs"-style fill-in-the-blank "Letter from the 'Woods."

The cabin-like building was initially the home of the Kenilworth Inn in the 1950s. L. Woods opened in January 1999 at the corner of Lincoln and Kostner avenues as a successor to another Lettuce Entertain You Restaurant concept, Bones.

Since then they’ve dished out more than quarter of a million orders of its customer-favorite French Onion Au Gratin soup from a menu that features American classics and barbecue specialties.
