Hoffman Estates approves new three-year contract with firefighters union
Hoffman Estates village board members have unanimously approved a new three-year contract that runs through Dec. 31, 2026 with the union representing village firefighters.
Deputy Village Manager Dan O’Malley told the board the proposed contract took about three months to negotiate and did not require the presence of attorneys on either side.
Based on the wages of comparable communities, the new contract grants salary increases of 3.5% at the beginnings of 2024 and 2025, and 3.25% on Jan. 1, 2026, O’Malley said.
