Israel has right to defend its people

To letter writer Mary Warren. Israel is a democratic country that defends its people. It has to destroy Hamas by any means necessary. After the horrific attack Hamas took on Israelis, killing 1,200 innocents, murdering people in their beds and concert goers and committing horrific atrocities, Israel allowed Palestinians into Israel every day to work to support their families.

It had given Gaza (voted in and governed by Hamas) money regularly to help its people improve living condition, and buy food, but instead they built tunnels, staffed hospitals including their directors, with their terrorists, put munitions in incubators instead of the babies they were meant for and then blamed Israel for their deaths.

Gazan children were so loved by their families they allowed child-sized suicide vests made for them to wear to kill Israelis so they die martyrs. Martyrs families got paid monthly for their deaths by Hamas.

Anyone who thinks Israel should not have the right to defend its people and thinks otherwise, has to be an antisemite.
