Council dismisses voters on sanctuary status

The Chicago City Council’s vote on the sanctuary city ordinance has been treated like a vote on whether Chicago should continue its sanctuary city status.

The fact, however, is that it was a vote to allow the taxpayers to vote on whether Chicago should remain a sanctuary city.

After all, there has been massive opposition to the housing of these migrants.

The result of the vote, is that most alderman feel that it doesn’t matter what the people, who pay their salaries, want, but only what they want.
