Approve only the true asylum seekers

In 1939, Russia invaded Poland and took everything my mother’s family had, their home, land and belongings/money. Yes, her family became true asylum seekers, and it took years to immigrate to the U.S.

But it was not easy to enter the U.S. They needed to prove they had a sponsor, a place to live, were free of disease and also had to learn how to speak English. The only thing that was offered them was freedom and that was enough for them.

Today’s illegal immigrants posing as asylum seekers are seeking something free also. Free housing, free food, free health care, free education, free gift cards and more. Then they have the nerve to complain about the harsh conditions here, making it sound to me like conditions here are worse than where they had come from.

That does not sound like they are escaping oppression to me. It is time to deport the freeloaders and provide help only to true asylum seekers, which appears to be a very small minority. Let’s at least make them prove to us why they are seeking asylum.
