Greater Family Health spreads Christmas cheer in Franklin Park
Greater Family Health spread holiday cheer at their newest health center in Franklin Park with a festive Winter Wonderland event where children immersed themselves in engaging holiday activities. From lively rounds of Christmas Bingo and enchanting reading time to creative ornament decorating and even a press-on tattoo station, the joyous sound of children laughing filled the air as little ones — and their parents — got to explore the newest Health Center on Grand Avenue.
After participating in these activities and indulging in milk and cookies, the children and their families were invited to take a picture with none other than Santa Claus himself, where his elves (supported by Greater Family Health staff) gifted each child with at least one wrapped present based on their age and gender. These gifts, generously donated by Greater Family Health, reflected their dedication to spreading joy and embodying the true essence of the holiday season.
This event not only celebrated the festive season but also marked Greater Family Health’s commitment to Franklin Park and surrounding communities. The new Health Center became a hub of joy, fostering connections and showcasing their dedication to holistic community care. Greater Family Health hopes to continue this yearly tradition that began in their Wheeling Health Center over six years ago in the new Franklin Park location, bringing holiday cheer to this community for years to come.
Greater Family Health is the area’s premier Federally Qualified Health Center, providing a comprehensive range of high-quality, affordably priced, fully integrated primary care services to almost 68,000 area residents by almost 214,000 medical, behavioral health and oral health appointments annually. Operating 11 Community Health Centers in five northeastern Illinois counties, the organization is accredited by The Joint Commission, Primary Care Medical Home certified, repeatedly nationally recognized for both its health outcomes and cost efficiency and provides care regardless of the patient’s ability to pay.
