The St. Charles Public Library is resuming its 2023-24 Sunday Concert Series on Sunday, Jan. 7, with a performance by flutist Carlyn Lloyd and pianist Jon Warfel.

Their repertoire includes something for everyone and ranges from classical to contemporary and golden oldies to popular favorites.

Lloyd performs regularly with many ensembles, including Arianna, an ensemble comprised of flute, harp, violin, and string bass. She has written popular and classical music arrangements for her woodwind quintet, Quintuplex. She owns Tri-L-Co Music, a company that engages classical chamber music ensembles.

He is a retired faculty member of Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, IL. He has appeared as a guest soloist with the Chicago Grant Park Orchestra as well as other local orchestras.

As a member of the Buffalo Shufflers, a “Roaring ’20s” show band, Warfel has toured throughout the United States, performing in symphonic pops concerts with 47 American orchestras.
