Celebrate the new year at Des Plaines family event
Celebrate 2024’s arrival a little early Sunday at a family-friendly event in Des Plaines.
The Des Plaines Park District will hold a New Year’s Eve party from 2 to 4:30 p.m. in the gym at the Prairie Lakes Community Center, 515 E. Thacker St.
Games will be played, snacks will be offered and a DJ will spin music.
Admission is $10 per child for park district residents or $12 for kids living elsewhere, if you register before Sunday.
On Sunday, the fee is $15 for children living in the district or $17 for other kids.
Admission is free for any adult accompanied by a child.
