Arlington Hts. firefighters sell T-shirts to fund mammograms

Arlington Heights Firefighters Local 3105 recently donated $2,000 to the Northwest Community Hospital's “Gift-a-Mammogram” program.

The program assists low-income/uninsured women in the community with early diagnostic testing and other medical care related to breast cancer.

With the support of the Arlington Heights Fire Department, Local 3105 raised the money through pink T-shirt sales, according to a post on the village’s Facebook page. The local sold 260 shirts in the inaugural campaign.

Local 3105 plans to sell T-shirts to raise money for the program an annual effort, according to the Facebook post.
