Tree disposal, holiday garbage pickup schedule for Geneva

Geneva’s garbage and recycling collection will be delayed one day the weeks of Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

Residents can dispose of natural Christmas trees for free on garbage days the weeks of Jan. 1 and 8. After that, residents will have to put a sticker on a tree for disposal the rest of January.

Ornaments, hooks, nails, tinsel, garland, tree stands, and other hard materials should be removed from the trees. Trees placed in bags will not be accepted.

Wreaths and roping must be discarded in the trash.
