Hoffman Estates village board approves 10% pay raises for its next terms

The Hoffman Estates village board has approved 10% salary increases for its eight elected offices.

The pay hikes will take effect after the next elections for those posts, either in 2025 and 2027. The last time raises were approved was 2018.

The annual salary of village president will increase from $30,000 to $33,000 after the April 2025 election, when the salary of the village clerk also will rise from $68,800 to $75,680.

The salary of each of the six village trustees will increase from $6,000 to $6,600 the next time their staggered terms are filled by election or appointment after April 2025. The current compensation of $150 for each day they attend at least one board or committee meeting directly related to their offices won’t be changed.
