Batavia holiday trash collection, tree pickup schedule

Batavia’s refuse and recycling collection will be delayed one day the weeks of Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
Also, its free bagged leaf collection ends Dec. 29.
Natural Christmas trees will be collected for free the weeks of Jan. 1 and 8. After that, trees will require a refuse sticker. Ornaments, hooks, nails, tinsel, garland, tree stands, and other hard materials should be removed from the trees prior to disposal. Trees placed in bags will not be accepted.
Wreaths and roping must be discarded in the trash.
