Campton Hills man faces child pornography charges

A Campton Hills man has been charged with child pornography crimes.
Christopher L. Hinman, 44, of the 39W800 block of Deer Run Drive, is charged with four counts of dissemination of child pornography and 16 counts of possession of child pornography videos.
The charges were filed on Dec. 15. On Sunday, Kane County Judge Mark Pheanis granted the prosecution’s request that Hinman be detained in jail pretrial.
Hinman’s next court date is Dec. 28.
The case was investigated by the Kane County Child Exploitation Unit, with aid from the state attorney general’s office and the state Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task Force.
