Don’t give up on fossil fuels just yet
At the recent global climate conference, a proposal was made to set a future date for the elimination of fossil fuels. Even President Biden has suggested a finite date be established. This is borderline insane since until we can find a reasonable alternative, fossil fuels are an essential part of our lives.
In addition to providing fuel for airplanes , automobiles, boats, etc., fossil fuels are a key ingredient in many of our day-to-day items such as plastics.
The real irony is the push to force us to buy electric cars. What do you think provides the energy to charge the batteries in these cars? You guessed it - fossil fuels.
So, while it’s valuable to get searching for viable and economic fossil fuel substitutes establishing any date certain for their elimination is reckless and foolhardy.
