Mundelein Park District Board Members Recognized For Service
Two Mundelein Park & Recreation Commissioners were recognized for their years of service at the Illinois Association of Park Districts 17th Annual Best of the Best Awards Gala held on Oct. 20 at Wheeling Park District’s Chevy Chase Country Club. Wally Frasier was honored for serving 30 years on the park district’s board of commissioners, and Jesse Ortega for serving 10 years.
Board members are recognized for “dedicating countless hours of their personal time to improving the quality of life for their community and their residents,” said Peter Murphy, IAPD President and CEO.
“Wally and Jesse are dedicated individuals who generously donate their time and talent to making Mundelein a better community,” said Ron Salski, executive director of Mundelein Park & Recreation District. “With two meetings per month, countless community events, and educational and training hours, it is a big commitment. We can’t thank them enough!”
