Man killed in Aurora shooting

A 32-year-old man was shot to death Tuesday in Aurora.

The Kane County coroner identified him as Ramon Jamie Pizarro-Mercado.

According to a news release, Aurora police responded around 6:45 p.m. to investigate gunshots in the 700 block of Kane Street.

They found two wounded men: Pizzaro-Mercado and a 24-year-old. Police say the 24-year-old’s condition is stable.

Both were taken to hospitals. Pizarro-Mercado was pronounced dead around 9:15 p.m.

The offender was not found.
