Lombard toy drive ends with Main Street parade
Lombard firefighters will wrap up the department’s holiday toy drive with a parade down Main Street Saturday.
Festively decorated fire trucks will kick off the parade from Station No. 45, 50 E. St. Charles Road, at 10:30 a.m. Along the parade route, firefighters will be collecting toy donations from Lombard residents, friends and family as they proceed south on Main Street to Glenbard East High School. All donated toys and baby supplies will benefit two nonprofit groups: Toy Express and Teen Parent Connection.
People can also bring new, unwrapped toys, as well as baby supplies, to both village fire stations, village Hall, Sunset Knoll Recreation Center, Madison Meadow Athletic Center, Helen Plum Library, Lombard Ace Hardware or Clark Orthodontics through Friday.
