Well Child Center gets $20,000 grant from Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation

The Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation awarded the Well Child Center in Elgin with a $20,000 grant as part of their annual Community Grants Program.

Local and state legislators, Delta Dental of Illinois leadership, and Well Child Center professionals gathered for the check presentation on Wednesday, Dec. 6.

The Well Child Center will be using its $20,000 grant funding to support its First Tooth Visit Program and operating support of its pediatric dental clinic.

Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation's Community Grants Program empowers organizations to improve the health and well-being of Illinoisans - with a special emphasis on children - throughout the state.

In 2023, Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation is awarding nearly $250,000 to nonprofits and organizations.

The Well Child Center at 620 Wing St. was founded over 50 years ago with the goal of providing uninsured children with primary and preventive medical care. For over five decades, the Well Child Center has served thousands of Elgin area children and families directly and by putting them in contact with other community resources.
