Des Plaines man facing child pornography charges

A Des Plaines man is facing child pornography charges following his arrest Thursday.

Antonio Albavera-Cruz, 23, of the 1400 block of Perry Street, also was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

Albavera-Cruz was taken into custody at his home, according to a news release.

Although they released few details, police called the situation an isolated incident.

"There is no threat to the public," said officer Katie Kozlowski, a department spokeswoman.
