Arlington Heights temporarily suspends nonemergency permit processing

Arlington Heights will not be processing nonemergency permit applications, including online and in person, through Monday, Dec. 11.

The temporary moratorium comes as village staff works to transition to a new and improved permitting and licensing online portal system.

Emergency permits, such as for sewer or furnace work, will be accommodated.

The new EnerGov system and Citizen Self-Serve Portal will be up and running on Dec. 12, officials say. After that time, in order to submit a permit online, the submitter will be required to create a login for their user portal. The link will be available at www.vah.com/myportal.
