Hooters Calendar Girls assemble 100 school supply kits for Back 2 School
The Chicago area Hooters locations partnered with Back 2 School Illinois to host a "Holiday Build a Kit" event on Dec. 1 at the Hooters of Downers Grove.
Local Hooters Calendar girls including November 2023 feature Lissette Miranda who works at Joliet Hooters, Bella Sabatino who works at O'Hare Hooters and Kaylan Rodriguez who works at Countryside Hooters were joined by "Miss February" Kiana Mahabir from Florida to assemble 100 school supply kits in the restaurant.
The 100 school supply kits will be distributed to kindergarten to 12th-graders through the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
In addition to assembling the kits the employees enjoyed writing encouraging "Notes of Inspiration" to include with the supplies. "We wanted to make an impact and help children in Illinois with the core supplies that they will need to succeed in school. It is a priority of our Chicagoland area Hooters employees to partner and volunteer with local organizations that work with children and education," said Denise Williams, HMC Hospitality Group Chief Marketing Officer.
"I absolutely loved working with Back 2 School Illinois. It was so amazing to know that I am helping make a child's school year better," said Kiana Mahabir who works at the Odessa Hooters in Florida.
"It was such an awesome experience working with everyone to get the school kits together. I couldn't be more grateful for this opportunity and I hope the kids love their kits," said Lissette Miranda who works at Joliet Hooters.
This is the fourth year that Hooters and their employees have worked with Back 2 School and volunteered their time to prepare the school supply kits.
