An insensitive slight

I wonder why Winfield's president Sorgatz chose to refer to one of the village's oldest businesses with an insult, calling it an eyesore. I do not deny the site had seen better days, but who/what looks as good at 118 as in its prime? Yes, I have fond memories of Winfield Fuel and, yes, I am being very sensitive to the insult. I just wish he could have remembered the many, many contributions Winfield Fuel, and the Higgins and Saylor families, made in its more than 100 years of caring for the village and its residents.
