Immanuel-Batavia begins holidays with 'Lessons & Carols'

Herald the arrival of the holiday season through the enchanting melodies of the "Lessons & Carols" services at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Batavia.

The services will be at 4 and 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, at the church, 950 Hart Road.

Prepare your heart and mind for the joyous celebration of the birth of our Savior.

Experience the magic of the season through the performances of the church choir, accompanied by a string ensemble, resonant French horns, and the enchanting tones of handbells.

This sacred service unfolds with a series of nine scripture readings, intertwined seamlessly with musical interludes that include special anthems and cherished congregational hymns.

Let the harmonies and melodies envelop you, creating an atmosphere of reverence and joy. This is more than a performance; it's a celebration of the timeless traditions that connect us to the heart of the season.

After worship, join in the Advent Nativity Walk in the fellowship hall. Wander through a wonderland of inspiring Christmas decorations and marvel at the intricacies of various nativity sets.

It's an opportunity to share in the festive spirit and connect with others who appreciate the beauty of our shared heritage.

Come and be a part of this delightful musical event, where tradition comes alive, and the magic of Christmas unfolds through the universal language of music. Your presence will add to the warmth and joy of our celebration.
